Game Design 1 - Landscape
In this assignment I created a landscape around my bunker. We needed to have no skybox showing, so I decided to create valley where my bunker, which is a train tunnel on one side. The valley has one open end, like a box canyon. However, the river currently originates from nowhere, as I'd need to make it come from a waterfall, and that's too involved for this current assignment. I think I will adjust my landscape to be a more traditional two ended valley. I needed to have 3 points of interest beyond my bunker, and I decided to have that be a gas station, campfire in the woods, and a cave, in that order. My intention is to eventually make it look like a bear attack, where a blood trail leads from the gas station, to the fire, to the cave. I didn't add the blood trail and any more fleshed out details yet. I was already taking way too long turning this assignment in, and I was having technical difficulties with going over budget on my streaming pool and connecting to Fab. I made sure to at least add a little bit of lighting to make the points of interest stand out in the dark.
